The pump unit essentially consists of the following components,
- Vane pump with overflow valve

A pressure loss calculation must be carried out before the order is placed.
In particular, the suction-side losses must be checked.
Depending on the availability of the electric motors and any associated change in speed, the performance information may differ in practice.
The installation must be protected from the weather.
The suction line must be as short as possible, in a straight line and with a sufficient nominal width (avoidance of cavitation).
The dimensioning is to be carried out on the basis of an NPSH value calculation.
The pressure line of the vane pump must be designed so that it can be vented when the pump starts up.
The suction line must be prevented from running empty if there is no ventilation option on the pressure side before each start-up.
When conveying products with a flash point <61 ° C, it may be necessary to provide a flame arrester on one or both sides.
